Andrea Björsell is a Swedish photographer, born in South Korea and raised in Sweden. Cultural diversity has always been a key part of Andrea's life. Growing up in a small town in southern Sweden, she experienced a profound cultural awakening during a student exchange program in San Diego, California. This experience sparked a strong desire to connect with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences, igniting a lifelong passion for seeking deeper understanding through the personal interactions that life’s adventures provide. This sparked a lifelong passion for seeking deeper understanding through the personal interactions provided by life’s adventures.
Andrea's passion for photography was kindled at the age of seven when she received her first camera as a Christmas present. She worked as a photographer's assistant for three years before studying photography at what is now the London College of Communication. Since then, she has worked in vibrant cities such as Stockholm, London, Los Angeles, New York City, and Hong Kong.
Reflecting on her craft, Andrea states, "I press the shutter when I am moved by my intuition. This gut feeling, developed over many years, allows me to capture the magical moments that I sense. I find it immensely satisfying."
While street photography has recently been a significant focus of her work, her artistic repertoire also extends to fashion, interior design, lifestyle, and travel.
Andrea’s most distinguished work includes portraits of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden for Cancerfonden, as well as advertising campaigns for prominent international brands.
